ChMeetings Updates For January 2025
This is our first update for 2025, when ChMeetings continues to enhance its platform with new features and improvements focused on accounting, communication, user management, and engagement tools. These updates aim to streamline church operations, improve financial transparency, and enhance your overall user experience. Here is what we’ve been working on for the first two months of this year:
Accounting & Financial Management
- Track Subcategories: You can create detailed subcategories under financial accounts, allowing for more granular tracking and reporting.
- Granular Accounting Permissions: New permission levels allow churches to assign specific accounting roles (e.g., View, Manage, Reports, Print Checks, Reconciliation) without granting access to sensitive member data.
Contributions & Online Giving
- Attach Files To Contributions: Paid account users can now attach supporting files (e.g., check images, receipts) to contributions, enhancing record-keeping.
- Select Statement Sender: You can now select the statement’s sender and also insert the contribution amounts in words; in your account language.
- Improved Interface: The contributions section has been redesigned for better usability, with easier access to key features like printing and exporting statements.
App Builder Enhancements
- App Pages Are Now Shareable: You can generate direct links to app pages, making it easier for members to access specific content.
- Page Styling Options: You can customize background colors and margins for a more personalized look.
- Expanded Social Media Integration: TikTok, and Instagram Video have been added, allowing churches to connect with members through multiple digital channels.
Other Updates
- Editable Account Info: Your church app users can now change their email addresses and usernames for better account management.
- New Ministries & Groups Report: A detailed breakdown of group and ministry participation is now available with all paid plans.
- Automated Task Improvements: We added zip code filtering, and the Newcomer and New Event Attendee tasks can now trigger multiple actions. Additionally, when adding people to a specific group using an automated task, you can now choose to notify the Group Leaders.
- People Enhancements: You can now filter people by zip code and update the marital status field in bulk.
- Event & Calendar Enhancements: Members and guests can now filter their calendar views to see only relevant events based on permissions and categories.
