ChMeetings Updates for October 2023

We are at the end of yet another month in which the ChMeetings team have worked on improving several aspects of the platform to help your church work better. We have made several enhancements across ChMeetings, particularly in publishing, communication, and people imports. Here is what’s new:

Builder

The Builder has been enhanced with the option to add new events or forms right from within the dedicated cards. Additionally, you can set publish dates for your cards so they get published later on this set date. There is also a new card showing the verse of the day.

People & Communication

Storing people from different countries is now possible with a dedicated Country field, which you can enable from your Account Settings. We have enhanced the available communication features by adding MMS support in the USA and Canada, as well as support for both a BCC and a TO field when sending emails. The BCC field sends separate emails to each recipient, while the TO field lets everyone see other recipients and any replies to the conversation. Last but not least, you can now send automated Reminders from under Settings > Automated Tasks.

Tools

If you want to import people from a spreadsheet that contains names in one column, now you can do so. Additionally, you can add a QR code column to your template to import existing member QR codes.

There is a new Contributions > Contacts section where you can manage non-member contributors.

Other Updates

  • ChMeetings is now available in Dutch.
  • Dioceses can see a Privacy Policy Acceptance Log Report.
  • You can use two-decimal numbers in Number Fields in forms and custom profile fields.
  • We fixed a bug that caused a blank screen when running ChMeetings on iOS 15.

We hope these features help you work more efficiently and improve the church experience for your members. We would love to stay in touch. If you’d like to keep up with our regular news, please check our Release Notes, which we provide every time we release an update to ChMeetings.
