ChMeetings Updates For July 2024

This July, the ChMeetings Team has been busy improving several areas of the platform, including Accounting, Contributions, Forms, and more. We also have some exciting news about what’s coming soon in August. Here is what we’ve been working on:

Feature Spotlight

  1. Deposit Batches Into Accounting: You may sometimes need to add transactions to your accounting without them going through your bank. This is why we added the option to Deposit Contribution Batches directly into your accounting.

  2. Import Transactions from Excel Files: We have expanded the list of file formats that you can use to import transactions into your accounting. So, now, you can import from OFX (Money), QFX (Quicken), QIF, QBO (Quickbooks), CSV, XLS, or XLSX (Excel) formats.

  3. Event Payments In Cash: Now you can set your events to collect payments in cash. This way, attendants can register online without paying, and do so in cash during the event.

Better Accounting Accuracy

We have been improving accounting accuracy by allowing you to:

Enhanced Contribution Data Management

We improved the way you can gather and manage contribution data by adding a Gender, Home Phone, and Country field to Contact  profiles; as well as a Mobile Phone and Country field to Organization profiles. Now you can also filter contributions by notes, and add the transaction ID to online giving receipt emails (if you use Stripe).

More Secure Forms

Whenever your forms require additional security, you can disable the ability to view or edit form submissions. This is particularly useful when you do not want the initial submission to be modified – such as election forms. Please note that once you do this for a form, its submissions will be permanently hidden.

Enhanced Builder

The Member Portal Builder received several improvements; the most important one being the Card Search. Other updates include shorter card names, simpler UI text, and an overall better information architecture.

Dedicated Phone Numbers

Now it’s much easier to get a free dedicated phone number for two-way messaging. You can get yours from under Settings > Payments and Credit.
