ChMeetings Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“Policy”) describes activities that are prohibited or restricted when using ChMeetings, a service provided by Jios Apps Inc. (“Jios Apps”), including ChMeetings’ online giving and payment features.

This Policy forms part of the ChMeetings Terms of Service and applies to all organizations and users of ChMeetings.

1. General Acceptable Use

You may use ChMeetings only for lawful purposes and in accordance with applicable laws, regulations, the ChMeetings Terms of Service, and this Policy.

You may not use ChMeetings to:

Engage in or facilitate illegal, fraudulent, deceptive, abusive, or unauthorized activity.
Misrepresent your identity, organization, activities, fundraising purpose, or the intended recipient or use of funds.
Facilitate money laundering, terrorist financing, fraud, sanctions evasion, or other illicit financial activity.
Infringe the intellectual property, privacy, or other legal rights of another person or organization.
Attempt to circumvent restrictions imposed by ChMeetings, Stripe, payment networks, financial institutions, or applicable law.

2. Online Giving and Fundraising

Organizations using ChMeetings to accept donations or other payments must use these features only for legitimate activities associated with their organization.

Organizations must accurately describe the purpose of donations and fundraising activities and must not knowingly provide donors with false, misleading, or materially incomplete information.

ChMeetings payment functionality may not be used to:

Collect donations for unlawful purposes.
Collect funds on behalf of an undisclosed organization, merchant, individual, or third party.
Misrepresent the beneficiary or purpose of a donation.
Use donated funds for a materially different purpose from the purpose represented to donors where doing so would be unlawful or deceptive.
Facilitate personal or peer-to-peer money transmission outside functionality expressly supported and approved by ChMeetings and the applicable payment provider.

3. Stripe Prohibited and Restricted Activities

Organizations that use Stripe through ChMeetings must comply with Stripe’s current Prohibited and Restricted Businesses requirements and all applicable Stripe agreements and policies.

Organizations may not use ChMeetings’ Stripe integration for any activity, business, product, service, fundraising purpose, or transaction prohibited by Stripe.

Where Stripe classifies an activity as restricted or requiring prior approval, the organization may use ChMeetings’ Stripe integration for that activity only after obtaining any approval required by Stripe.

Organizations are responsible for remaining compliant with Stripe’s requirements as those requirements may change from time to time.

4. Sanctions and Prohibited Jurisdictions

You may not use ChMeetings’ Stripe-powered payment or donation functionality for transactions that Stripe prohibits because of sanctions, prohibited jurisdictions, prohibited persons, or other legal or regulatory restrictions.

You may not knowingly use the platform to:

Conduct Stripe transactions involving persons or organizations prohibited or sanctioned by Stripe or applicable law.
Process Stripe payments for organizations that are not eligible to use Stripe in their jurisdiction.
Circumvent geographic, sanctions-related, or account restrictions imposed by Stripe.
Use another person’s or organization’s Stripe account to bypass a restriction or eligibility decision.

Availability of ChMeetings as church management software in a particular country does not mean that Stripe payment functionality is available or permitted in that country.

5. Stripe Connected Accounts

Organizations using Stripe through ChMeetings must connect an eligible Stripe account associated with their own organization and must provide accurate and complete information to Stripe.

Organizations must not:

Connect a Stripe account belonging to an unrelated organization or individual in order to process their own donations.
Provide false, manipulated, or misleading information to Stripe.
Attempt to bypass a Stripe suspension, restriction, rejection, or termination.
Continue attempting to process donations through ChMeetings where Stripe has disabled the relevant payment capabilities.

Stripe may perform its own onboarding, identity verification, risk assessment, sanctions screening, transaction monitoring, or other compliance activities in accordance with Stripe’s policies.

6. Restricted or Prohibited Fundraising

ChMeetings must not be used to fundraise for an activity that is prohibited by applicable law, this Policy, or the applicable payment provider.

Examples include fundraising that directly or indirectly supports:

Illegal products or services.
Fraudulent or deceptive schemes.
Illegal gambling or other prohibited gaming activities.
Illegal weapons, controlled substances, or other prohibited goods.
Money laundering or terrorist financing.
Persons, entities, activities, or jurisdictions subject to applicable sanctions or payment-provider prohibitions.
Any other activity included on Stripe’s Prohibited and Restricted Businesses list unless the activity is eligible and all required Stripe approvals have been obtained.

This list is not exhaustive.

7. Cooperation and Accurate Information

Organizations must provide accurate information when creating and maintaining their ChMeetings account.

If Jios Apps requests information reasonably necessary to investigate suspected misuse of the platform, the organization must cooperate and provide accurate information.

Organizations are also responsible for responding directly to requests from Stripe regarding their connected Stripe account.

8. Enforcement

Jios Apps reserves the right to take appropriate action when it becomes aware of a suspected or confirmed violation of this Policy, the ChMeetings Terms of Service, applicable law, or payment-provider requirements.

Depending on the circumstances, Jios Apps may:

Request additional information from the organization.
Restrict or disable access to payment or donation functionality.
Disconnect a Stripe integration.
Suspend or terminate a ChMeetings account.
Cooperate with Stripe, financial institutions, law enforcement, or regulatory authorities where required or appropriate.

Jios Apps is not required to override or independently reverse a restriction imposed by Stripe. If Stripe disables or terminates an organization’s ability to process payments, ChMeetings cannot be used to bypass that decision.

9. Reporting Violations

If you believe that a ChMeetings account, donation page, fundraising activity, or payment feature is being used in violation of this Policy, please contact ChMeetings Support with sufficient information for Jios Apps to review the concern.

10. Changes to This Policy

Jios Apps may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our services, applicable laws, regulatory requirements, or payment-provider requirements.

Continued use of ChMeetings after an updated Policy becomes effective is subject to the updated Policy.

11. Relationship to Other Terms

This Policy supplements the ChMeetings Terms of Service.

If an organization uses a third-party payment provider such as Stripe, it must also comply with the applicable agreements, terms, and policies of that payment provider.

Violations of this Policy may result in restriction, suspension, or termination of access to ChMeetings or specific ChMeetings functionality.
