ChMeetings Updates For July 2025
In July 2025, ChMeetings packed the church management platform with carefully-crafted enhancements designed to save time, deepen engagement, and make church work more efficient. Here’s how our latest updates help churches like yours manage giving, track finances, boost communication, and elevate member experience:
Smarter Giving for More Control & Insight
Giving Tab for Contacts & Organizations
Previously, only full “People” profiles surfaced contribution history. Now, you’ll find a dedicated Giving tab on Contact and Organization profiles (under Contributions > Contacts / Organizations), bringing clarity to contributions from non-members or other external contributors. Filter by date, print or email statements for this type of givers faster, without having to dig through your whole list of donations.
Customized Fund Selection on Giving Page
Empower your donors with clarity by customizing the Select Fund message and ordering how funds appear during online giving. This makes it easier to guide contributions toward priorities like Missions or Building Projects You can manage this under Contributions > Online Giving > Giving Settings
Save Time & Reduce Errors with Streamlined Accounting
Transaction Import Tool Enhancements:
The Import Transactions Tool has been significantly improved and now lets you modify the transactions right from within the import tool, without having to start over:
- Edit transactions right from within the Import tool.
- Search by transaction memo.
- Filter by the transaction type: All, Income & Expenses.
- Manage Rules inside the Import Transactions tool. Once you create a new rule, you can reapply it to the transactions that already exist in the file. If a transaction has been imported as the result of a matching rule, then that rule is now listed within a dedicated column on the import page.
- Exclude transactions from the import as needed.
Copy Transactions
Duplicate transactions from within any account to save time on recurring or similar entries. The feature is available under Accounting > Accounts.
Save Reconciliations for Later
Start a reconciliation and come back to complete it at your convenience, with no need to restart the process.
More Powerful Outreach with Push Notifications
Now you can send push notifications to members for specific events (one-time or recurring) or certain forms. The feature is available in the context menu of the event or event occurrence, or of the desired form. You can send these notifications right away or schedule them for an appropriate time.
Exclusive Updates For The Branded App
App Appearance Settings For Members & Guests
Now, members and guests can customize their own appearance from within the app settings. They can choose either Light Mode or Dark Mode.
Member & Guest Push Notifications For Specific Events or Forms
The ability to send push notifications for specific events or forms is also available for you if you are using the Branded App. The difference is that, in addition to members, you can also notify guests, in both scenarios.
Enhanced Media Experience For Members & Guests
The Media Library has received several new features throughout this month:
- You can better organize your media with the ability to add the same media item to multiple series, and choose to place new items at the top or bottom of a series.
- Your members get media controls that allow them to Add to favorites, and Download media for offline access.
- Members can also access a Media Activity menu where they can view:
- Recently Watched
- Most Watched
- My Favorite Media
- My Downloaded Media
Other Updates
- Allow members to see their attendance under a dedicated My Registrations section, just by enabling a permission under Users & Roles > Roles & Permissions > Member > Events > Attendance.
- Set Appointment Rebooking Limits: Prevent members from rebooking the same appointment type within a set number of days before or after a previous booking.
- Image Reordering in the App Builder: Rearrange images within the Photos card or Home Banner using simple drag-and-drop.
- Disable the Envelope Number Field from People Profiles. This disables the field, but not the Envelopes feature under Contributions. You can do this by going to Settings > Profile Fields.
- Newcomer Task Automation for Diocesan Churches: Diocesan churches can now set up newcomer workflows for each church.
