ChMeetings Updates For June 2025
As summer rolls in, we’re excited to announce some important enhancements across the ChMeetings platform that are designed to give your church more control, flexibility, and insight into your operations. From enhanced financial reporting to more intuitive event registration, improved Bible reading, and better reporting, our latest updates bring you even more ways to streamline church management and deepen community engagement. Enhanced Budget Reporting for Better Finances
Budget Reports
Managing church finances can be complex, but we’re making it easier. Our Accounting module now includes a suite of new budget reports to give you more visibility and better decision-making power:
- Simple Budget: Provides a high-level overview of your budgeted income and expenses.
- Budget vs. Actual: Easily identify areas where spending is over or under your budget.
- Monthly Budget Analysis: Breaks down your budget performance by category..
- Budget Comparison: Helps you compare two different budgets, which is perfect for year-over-year planning or comparing ministry-specific budgets.
These new tools are available in both the Accounting Reports and Budget sections, so you can access insights exactly where you need them.
Starting Position For Printed Checks
Additionally, to help you reduce paper waste and save time. we’ve added flexibility for check printing: now you can choose whether your three-per-page checks start printing at the top, middle, or bottom.
Giving Just Got Smarter
Several improvements have been introduced to make giving easier and more flexible.
Import Pledges
If you are migrating from other systems or consolidating financial records can now significantly reduce the time and effort required to bring existing commitments into ChMeetings, with the new pledge import feature. Located under Settings > Tools > Import Pledges, this tool allows you to upload pledges using a simple spreadsheet.
Direct Links & QR Codes For Contribution Funds
Easily run targeted giving campaigns with dedicated fund links and QR codes are now available even for funds not listed on your public giving page.
Online Giving Enhancements
You can now assign online transactions to a specific batch, which gives you more control over financial organization.
Additionally, the behavior for online giving refunds has changed. If a full refund is issued for an online contribution, ChMeetings will now retain the original record and create a separate refund entry as a negative transaction. Previously, the initial contribution was not being retained.
Events Are Now Simpler and More Flexible
Organizing church events just got easier with multiple improvements that give you more control while simplifying the experience for your attendees.:
Simple Registration Option
Not every event needs detailed attendee data. Now, you can enable a simple registration process where attendees only specify how many people are coming, with no names or details required.
Add-On Tickets and Ticket Limits
Are you selling t-shirts, books, or meals during events? You can now add optional “add-on” ticket types to sell these additional products or services during events.You can also set a maximum number of tickets per registrant, either per ticket type or across all types.
Child Group Info on Name Tags
If a child belongs to a group, you can now print that information on their event name tag, making pickup and group coordination much easier.
Volunteer RSVP Emails Sent to Leaders
Volunteer responses now go directly to assigned role leaders, ensuring timely communication. Don’t forget to set a leader for each role, or the emails will default to your configured “Reply To” address.
Reporting & People Filtering Got Better
ChMeetings now gives you more control over attendance tracking with the ability to generate Attendance Rate Reports based on a specific date range.
We have also enhanced the People Advanced Search feature with updates to the Follow-Ups filter that now lets you search for people based on whether they have or haven’t been followed up with, and within specific timeframes. Additionally, you can search events, follow-ups, and notes across either your whole church or individual ministries.
Calendars Are Easier To Share Or Print
We know many of you rely on calendars to coordinate events and schedules. That’s why we’ve added two powerful features that keep your congregation informed and organized:
Members Can Print Calendars
Members and admins can now print their calendar view directly from the Calendar module.
Now You Can Embed a Specific Calendar
Previously, only the main calendar could be embedded on your website. Now, you can embed any calendar, making it easier to share targeted schedules with specific groups or ministries.
Customize The App Menu With Any Paid Plan
Previously limited to branded apps, the App Menu Setup feature is now available to all paid accounts. This means you can now customize their app’s navigation by renaming sections, selecting icons, and structuring content to reflect their ministry’s needs. Available through the Member Portal Builder, this update enhances both the web and mobile experience for members and leaders alike.
Members Enjoy A More Personalized Bible Experience
Bible reading is more accessible than ever within ChMeetings. Each verse now appears on a new line for improved readability, and a new Share option lets users easily copy individual verses. Users can also choose their preferred default Bible version via a new settings icon, with support for the English Standard Version (ESV), King James Version (KJV), New King James Version (NKJV), and New Living Translation (NLT). Moreover, readers can set the font size from Small, to Medium, Large, Extra Large, and XXL, to accommodate their needs.
Additional Experience Improvements
A variety of smaller, yet highly useful, updates have been added this month. These include the ability to print emails from the Email Designer as PDFs and enhanced blog styling with cleaner layouts and commenter photos. Automated tasks can now be filtered by multiple zip codes simultaneously, allowing for more targeted outreach.
